I like the fact that the deer intervened. (Even if it looks more like a gazelle or some such African thing to me.) Without it, the balance of the photograph would have been off. I think the deer's feet on the mantle subtly add to the feeling of "ground" on which the insanely anthropomorphized zebra is sitting.
